Jan Henderson

Jan Henderson is a 33 year resident of Anchorage and has been with Mitchell Chiropractic for over 10 years.  She was born in North Dakota and also lived in California before moving to Anchorage.  Prior to working at our clinic she was employed by the University of Alaska Anchorage for over 20 years as a manager and community relations.  She was recognized as the UAA Employee of the Year during her service.  Following her retirement she was the leading force in establishing the UAA Retiree’s Association.

She is the president of Anchorage South Rotary and has served on its board as well as numerous committees. She was awarded the honor of being Anchorage South Rotary’s Rotarian of the Year for 2000-2001.  She is also active in many other community organizations and activities.

Her interests outside the office include ballroom dancing, traveling, cooking, wine tasting and reading.  She is the mother of two girls (Robin and Traci) and grandmother of 4 girls (Sarah, Jennifer, Kaitlin, and Hannah).

Jan likes decorating the office for every occasion and loves making all our patients as comfortable as they can be.
